Analyst Senior Engineer/SET

Serve as a Senior Science and Technology (S&T) Resource Analyst in the Focus Area of Spectrum Efficient Technology(SET), to the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) Test and Evaluation/Science and Technology (T&E/S&T) Program Manager. The T&E/S&T Program develops candidate test technologies into test capabilities that enable adequate verification of the performance of advanced warfighting systems. Of particular interest in the SET focus area are risk reduction and advanced technology development for a project to enhance the current streaming telemetry system with a bi-directional network among test items and between test items and data storage and analysis facilities (in particular, the integrated Network Enhanced Telemetry project (iNET). This person will apply a comprehensive knowledge of ongoing S&T research efforts related to SET as well as planned excursions in the Department of Defense (DoD), non-DoD Federal agencies, and the commercial sector. The successful candidate will identify and assess shortfalls between current T&E capabilities and future needs, as well as relative risk for successful development of candidate technologies to overcome the shortfalls.
Knowledge of current DoD T&E efforts within the focus area would aid identification of shortfalls. Experience in the field of DoD T&E/S&T would apply to selection of identification and assessment processes. REQUIRED SKILLS: The ability to produce clear and concise written communications and to distill complex technical issues into salient, concise, and understandable briefings, reports, and issue papers suitable for senior DoD executives is essential. Experience with iNET, in the planning and conduct of major SET technology assessments, and/or SET system test and evaluation at the Service Headquarters or OSD level is highly desirable. Laboratory research experience would also be valuable. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: MS degree in Engineering, Physics, Physical Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field with 8 years of relevant experience in areas identified above. Database DBA/Developer

Oracle/SQL Server Database Administrator and Oracle PL/SQL developer to support multiple projects. EEI currently has multiple projects that use Oracle databases, including Oracle 9i on Windows, Oracle 10g XE on Windows, Oracle 10g on Windows, and Oracle 10g on Linux. We are starting a project that will be using SQL Server. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with installation, management, and backup/recovery in all these environments.
Will be responsible for maintaining two production systems and multiple development and test instances on multiple servers. DBA tasks will require approximately 20-40% of a normal work week. Will also require Oracle PL/SQL development skills to support multiple projects. Will be developing, updating, and maintaining packages, procedures, functions, views, and scripts to support web applications that pass parameters to the stored procedures. These procedures use techniques such as cursor for loops, nested blocks, exception handling, in-line views, dynamic SQL, collections, types, calls to the operating system, and ref cursors. Will be working as part of a team assigned to various tasks on projects as needed.
Must be willing to ask questions and contribute ideas to the team. Must be able to work with detailed design specifications and understand relationships between tables. Experience with the use of PL/SQL development tools for code development and debugging is essential. Oracle's Designer is used as the design and version control system for all Oracle applications. Experience with Designer, ERWin, or a similar tool is helpful. Database design experience is desirable.
